Gary Phillips is the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Certitude Digital. He is responsible for the business strategy and mission to deliver new innovative solutions to the digital asset protection marketplace.

Gary has over 25 years of business experience as a leader of a management consulting practice and as a serial entrepreneur creating startups like PDG, Human Pulse, Plan-it, FTP, Forefront Solutions, and Career Sciences. He has raised over $20 million in angel and venture capital funding for startups and growth. He sits on multiple advisory boards and provides advice and mentorship to new entrepreneurs.

Gary holds an MBA Finance and MS Strategic Management (candidate), Kelley School of Business, Indiana University and a BS in Business Management from WGU/IU. Prior to joining Certitude, he was a successful management consultant working with global companies supporting growth and market expansion.


Scott Deaver is the inventor of the patented AMULET™ system and technical lead for the project.  Scott has been a contractual software engineer for nearly thirty years, and has been involved many successful leading-edge project on behalf of leaders in their industries that reads like a “who’s who” of technology and industry giants.

He’s worked for organizations such as NASA (Lockheed Martin), ExxonMobil, Shell Oil, ChevronTexaco, Halliburton/Landmark, Schlumberger, and the list goes on and on.

Scott has been an inventor of both mechanical and software innovations, has many successfully awarded patents to his name, and is regarded as an expert in the area of digital security technology from the perspectives of both hacker and protector.

Scott Orman has a broad background spanning both the business and technical realms, including: Information Technology; Technical Project Management; Product Development and Sales; and Organizational Leadership across many cross-functional organizations in the DoD and Telecommunications industries. He is also an entrepreneur and inventor.


HD is a serial entrepreneur, inventor, and software architect with a track record of launching software and telecom startups, and has over 25 years of experience in software, wireless communication, telecom, internet and mobile. He holds Engineering degrees from MIT and an MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management. He currently has a full service development team in Vietnam.


James Cardle Ph.D. has had a long and distinguished career as a consulting engineer, university professor, and as a patent attorney that spans more than three decades. James has engaged in both the private practice of patent law and as in-house university patent counsel.

James worked with Scott Deaver to establish the Intellectual Property that underpins the Amulet™ system. His academic interests included computational fluid dynamics. Dr. Cardle earned his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame Law School and is a Registered Engineer in CA.


Sam is an entrepreneurial finance executive with over 15 years of experience in M&A, corporate finance and startups. He founded Wherewithal, a fintech startup, and was a senior banker at Houlihan Lokey, completing transactions valued in excess of $10 billion over the span of his career.

Dr. Chen is the Department Head of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Sciences at The Citadel in Charleston, SC. Her areas of academic interest include numerical optimization, numerical linear algebra, and mathematics in signal processing.

Dr. Chen has been instrumental in providing access to The Citadel’s resources to assist in vetting and extending AMULET™ capabilities. Professor Shankar M. Banik

Dr. Banik is an associate professor of computer science in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Sciences at The Citadel in Charleston, SC. His areas of academic interest include computer networks, collaborative applications, peer-to-peer systems, multimedia and mobile systems, network security, and applied graph theory.

Dr. George L. Rudolph
